A huge thanks to the person or persons who submitted this site as one of their favourite Irish sites for this year’s Irish Web Awards in the music blog category.

As Sweet Oblivion is not in the same league as the amazingly comprehensive music sites also on the list – Harmless Noise, Nialler9, Swear I’m Not Paul, Ragged Words and State just to name a few – I’m honoured that someone even thought of me!  I can’t wait to see who makes the shortlist – I’m sure the cream will rise to the top as they say. Congratulations to all who were nominated!

A special congrats to my Anti Room buddies; our humble blog has been nominated in the Best Web Publication Only category. Let’s hope we get to the shortlist!

I’ll be back with my Electric Picnic thoughts  tomorrow – but here is last week’s Electric Picnic-themed Sweet Oblivion show for you to listen to.
